Designed by Michael Boucquillon and Donia Maaoui, the Bark collection - from the English bark - was launched in 2015 by Alessi. The authors were inspired by their home, Maison Boucquillon: a place for experimentation, meditation and work where you can live in symbiosis with Nature. The pattern and finesse of the materials in the Bark series recall the bark of the trees that surround the house. The result is a highly poetic collection in which every object, in form orfunction, is part of a harmonious, ongoing dialogue with Nature.
