This jewel-like object was created by the young Dutch designer Titus Wybenga as part of a workshop organised by Alessi in 2014. Alberto Alessi, the brand'seponymous director, explains:"I was impressed by the level of craftsmanship in this project. The goal was to design an object for daily use that would have the quality of a jewel. The pocket watch, a classic precious object, thus finds a new contemporary life as a tea ball. The main purpose of a watch is to mark time, while in its new form, its function is to stop time, creating a moment of tranquillity and reflection.
