ColorTherapis rugs reflect designer Lavinia Augeai's taste for prints, mix and match and bright colors. Originally from Romania, Lavinia Augeai creates her own graphics, with obvious references to Fauvism and the painter Matisse, who adored bright colors and defended a true freedom of composition. Orange, red, pink and green are the colorimetric notes juxtaposed in ColorTherapis' work. Lavinia Augeai: ''I'm inspired by a bit of everything: fashion, Nature, the seasons.The 1970s era is a huge inspiration for me, as are Bauhaus and Memphis styles. ColorTherapis rugs are designed in Paris and then entirely handcrafted by a team of artisans based in the Varanasi region of India. Recognized the world over for their know-how, these experts specialize in tufting, looming and hand-knotting fabrics (wool and cotton). This Rug is made from New Zealand wool dyed with vegetable dyes. The tufting technique guarantees unique creations, as each Rug is made entirely by hand. This is a technique of inserting different types of yarn into a textile Stand, using a gun. The thickness of tufted rugs guarantees absolute comfort, a cosy look and incomparable softness.
