Fatboy - Plaid Plaid - Multicoloured - Wool - Designer Carole Baijings; Fatboy Plaid Multicoloured Textile. Dimensions: 185 x 130 cm. Carole Baijings is a Dutch designer who works with a rich, chromatic palette. Exhibited in the most prestigious museums (the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, etc.), Carole Baijings' work stands out through an extremely balanced use of colours and interplays of graphical lines. Coming straight from a watercolour palette, the Colour Blend blankets sport a blend of joyous intensity, remarkable restraint, poetry and geometry. Designer Carole Baijings cherishes good memories of the classic Aabe checked covers. This Dutch brand has been producing 100% pure wool covers since 1811. Carole has taken their iconic checked pattern and transformed it into a scaled-up version with her own style. The separated lines fuse together to create a new, surprises colour palette. Each colour combination was created through several trial runs. Continuous trial and error was the only way Carole and Fatboy were able to achieve the ultimate blends. Extremely soft and warm, Aabe brushed wool creates a stunning effect, revealing to ways in which the colours come together. The pure virgin wool is sourced in New Zealand. It is woven and coloured in Italy using natural colouring agents. Each Colour Blend blanket is completely recyclable thanks to the use of 100% natural materials.
