Tufting is a process thats applied by passing nylon tapes through mattress at regular intervals and securing them on both sides with woollen tufts. Its layers of natural latex, wool, silk and cashmere have the ability to dissipate excess moisture away from the body for a cooler and fresher nights sleep. The interior of the mattress features a unique make-up of 1000 central pocket springs, with 2000 mini tablet pocket spring comfort layers on either side. Each spring is totally independent of any surrounding coil and housed in its own cloth sleeve, resulting in piston-like support to each part of the body. The mattress border features 2 rows of hand side stitching - a labour intensive and intricate technique that take craftsmen many years to master. Using high-tension twine and a long upholstery needle, the side-stitching process attaches the mattress border to the perimeter rows of springs.
