''What's interesting to me is the strangeness of a form that exists but that we don't recognize, whether it's painted or reproduced in three dimensions.'' Nathalie du Pasquier is a painter, graphic artist and designer. In the 1980s, this renowned visual artist was one of the founding members of the Memphis group, formed around the emblematic Ettore Sottsas. During these years, she designed numerous textiles, rugs, objects and furniture, as well as motifs for the furniture of other designers in the group. Her travels in Africa and Asia in the late '70s gave rise to a distinctive graphic style that was to permeate all Memphis creations. When the group disbanded in 1987, she returned to her first medium, painting. Nathalie du Pasquier's style is immediately recognizable: an explosive, harmonious blend of exuberant motifs and vibrant colors. A universe evocative of travels and African waxes, with an offbeat rock feel. Embossed with the artist's title and name, this Poster is lithographed on Zen Pure White 270 g/m² paper with a high-gloss UV varnish detailing the work's central object. Frame not supplied.
